School Uniform

New School Uniform Update

There appears to be some confusion regarding the new school uniform that is due to come into effect from September 2014.

Our new school uniform will now consist of

  •  Pale blue polo shirt with school emblem in royal blue / plain pale blue polo shirt
  •  Royal blue sweatshirt / cardigan with pale blue school emblem   Plain royal blue sweat shirt / cardigan
  •  Grey school trousers / dress / skirt
  •  PE kit: white tee shirt with royal blue school logo / plain round neck tee shirt. Blue shorts
  •  School fleece coats (outdoor wear only) and book bags will also be available in the new school colours and logos
  •   Summer uniform will remain blue and white check dresses for girls and grey short trousers for boys

We have also added optional items - a rucksack that is favoured by older pupils, and a school coat with is waterproof on the outside and fleecy inside.

As has been made clear throughout the process, uniform will be changed over time.  Old style school uniform may be worn in all years (including reception) until it wears out, but we would ask that when purchasing replacements, you buy the new style pieces.  For all parents who need to purchase uniform, the new school uniform will be available to purchase for September 2014. You can see samples in school reception.

School uniform in the new colour and logo will be available to purchase from Amin’s School Supply shop on Bank Street in Rawtenstall and on line through Tesco’s uniform service.  Pale blue polo shirts and sweat shirts / cardigans without badges can also be purchased at Amin’s School Supply and Tesco uniform service and a wide variety of shops selling plain school uniforms.

Consistent with the whole of the re-branding process, we listened to what parents had to say and then asked you to vote on their suggestions.  Voting papers were opened and counted at the re-branding meeting.  School uniform was changed in line with the wishes of the majority.
